The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport has created a new women in motorsport commission, which will be chaired by Jess Dane.

The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport has created a new women in motorsport commission, which will be chaired by Jess Dane.
The Australian Women in Motor Sport Commission will look to promote female participation in Aussie motorsport, working alongside the Dare To Be Different programme, which launched down under earlier this year.
The AWMSC will feature seven commissioners, and be chaired by Dane, who is a part-owner of the Triple Eight Race Engineering outfit run by her father Roland Dane as well as the team's commercial operations officer.
“Motorsport is an incredible industry – the adrenaline, the passion, the hard work are infectious and the CAMS Australian Women in Motor Sport Commission has the potential to spread this bug,” Dane said.
“The Commission has the potential to be the voice of females in motorsport. If we can provide a platform to listen to and understand the challenges facing women in the industry, we can work towards making this awesome sport an even better place to be.
